Kaya toast is one of the traditional breakfast for people in Malaysia and Singapore, together with all other good stuffs such as roti prata and nasi lemak. Fresh and good quality kaya or the coconut egg jam and pure butter play important factors determining a good kaya toast. I like it particularly with a cup of quality black coffee...wakes my sleepy body by instant.
